.m. >> good morning, everybody. welcome back to 11 news today. i am stan stovall. >> i am jennifer franciotti. thanks for joining us for 11 news today. we had such a gorgeous weekend. >> a big storm down to the south and the west. we're beginning to see some sprinkles develop in virginia. most of the rain is back in tennessee and kentucky. most of the daytime hours today look dry. one more nice day. more details coming up in just a few minutes. >> fire investigators are working to figure out what started a deadly fire. this happened on woodland avenue. >> kim dacey has the latest on the investigation. >> fire investigators are expected to be back at the home today searching for a cause. just after 5:00 sunday morning, firefighters were called to the 2900 block of woodland avenue in northwest baltimore. >> they arrived on the scene to find heavy fire and smoke conditions coming from the rear of that structure. we did learn that three of the occupants in the home escaped without any injury. unfortunately, one adult man did not. apparently, he perished in that fire. preliminarily, we believe it

-breaking. this is 11 news today at 5:00 a.m. >> good morning. welcome back to 11 news today. i'm stan stovall. >> and i'm mindy basara. thanks for joining us for 11 news today. how the rose looking -- how on the roads looking? >> the grand prix closures are mostly gone. most of the major roadways are open. monument street is closed near patterson park. the sinkhole is shutting down that road. the report of some debris at franklin boulevard. in upperco, a crash at dover road and route 30. route 25, some debris blocking both lanes in both directions. some debris and roche 24. some of the major roadways are looking good. the harrisburg expressway at york road is moving fine. you can get into downtown easily after the grand prix. >> the humidity is so thick. >> i am going to quote carlotta -- "it is disgusting." we have a little bit of a break. some sprinkles left behind. some fog and some drizzle. the heavy rain is north of us. we will see some scattered thunderstorms develop later this afternoon. they will be hit and miss. it will be humid and uncomfortable with high temperature near 84 degrees. we will

to 11 news today. i'm stan stovall. >> and i'm mindy basara. forecast.heck the >> it is an uncomfortable and disgusting. the dew points are in the low to mid 70's. it will take another 24 hours for that stuff to move off the coast. the forecast is basically the same as yesterday. we will see some scattered thunderstorms develop and some could drop some locally heavy amounts of rain. a high near 87. it will stay warm but if you're a fan of autumn weather, i have something for you in the seven- day forecast. >> traffic is looking pretty good this morning. one problem in harford county at old philadelphia road. watch for possible lane closures. monument street is closed near patterson park. that is for the sinkhole. the major roadways are checking out ok. six minutes on 95 northbound between 100 and the beltway as you heading towards baltimore. no delays at this early hour. 95 and mountain road is looking good. this is 70 at 29 in howard county. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> maryland governor martin o'malley sets the stage for the democratic national convention. >> jennifer fra
